In order to use your computer to connect to CWU's Internet & Email services, the following items must be installed or completed:
- Establish your CWU Novell Student account
- Modem is installed
- Phone Cable is attached
- Dial-up Configuration is complete
You cannot connect to CWU's dailup service until you have a valid CWU Novell Directory Services (NDS) account. You must have your Student ID number and know your 4 digit RegiPin number. The URL for the student account page is https://kothar.cts.cwu.edu/novpass.html. Your Regi PIN is only available at the Registrar's office.
You use your NDS Username (e.g. .DoeJohn.D.Students.CWU) and Password in the Connect box that Dialup Networking opens when you access CWU's service. Remember that your Novell password expires every 90 days regardless of whether you used or haven't used your account.
In the event that you need technical support on configuring your computer for this service, contact the ResNet support line (963-2200). If we cannot resolve your problem via phone support we will visit your apartment and resolve the problem.
For the most up-to-date information, we recommend looking at the ITS Dial-Up Configuration Site.
